Tor Bay
Nova Scotia
Tor Bay is a small fishing village off the coast of Nova Scotia a short way from my wife's family home.  Most of the images are of the Provincial Park of Tor Bay.  I love the location and frequent it almost every trip down to her home.
This is one side of Tor Bay where you can see how irregular the coastline is, in fact Nova Scotia has over 7000 km of coastline despite the fact it is roughly 580 km long but not more than about 130 km wide.
This is the center of the bay showing more varied coastline and Gammons Basin and more remote habitation. The center of this image does not look much like this since recent storms has carved the coast even more.  At high tide that little inland body of water now connects with the ocean.  There used to be a large boardwalk on the shore line but it got torn down by the heavy seas.
This image shows the other side of the bay and the same little inland water which I mentioned now connects to the ocean in high tide. The boardwalk can be seen terminating in the rocks.  That beach like the one on the other side is lovely sand and will hold swimmers in the hot season.
This is one of the rocks of the coastline I just love to set up my tripod and camera and just snap away catching the big waves.  Keep in mind this was not a storm for I would have been blown away.  I go out as soon as possible after the storm while the waves are more quiet.
Here is that same rock off the coast from a drone.
Quiet mornings on the beach.  I call this one Big Foot.
I have been keeping my eye on this particular rock.  Some day I am going to try to determine from all my images, good and bad, if the rock has moved and by how much. All the lovely colours come from morning light as it points east.
Images from the shore show the big variance of soft and rugged shore.
More views of the coast from different angles.  All this from one location, Tor Bay - Love IT!
Now let go up.
